Fire Ice and SpiritThe morning arrives with the sweet smell of maple and bacon; once again, Zander is up before the rest preparing his sweet salted pork and maple.  The giant crouches next to the small cooking fire made from the bottom couple of rungs of the driftwood and rope ladder.   
Jenny rolls over and sits up, realizing her tattered clothes had been removed she examines her bare flesh to find not even a small blemish to her milky skin.   
“I wondered when you would awaken, my lady.”  Zander did not remove his eyes from his pan, giving Jenny time to bundle herself up in his blanket of a robe.

The hunter returns“You let her escape!”  The ogre chieftain looked at the trembling animal handler, Grrlum with disdain.  “You are supposed to be this great tracker.  A hunter of some resolve and yet you fail in even bringing back a pregnant human female!”  The ogre stood from his stone throne and glared down at the smaller ogre, sending bolts of pain through him.  The tracker cringed from the unseen force racking his body with surges of pain.  The pack of krenshar tensed their muscles the skin retracting from their heads as they readied to protect their handler.  The pain ceased like a sque The hunter returns

The Search Continues“Find him!”  Ergun roared to his men.  “You will suffer a worse fate than that prisoner if he is not found.”  The guards looked up to their chief in confusion.  “NOW!”  Ergun roared to his men.  The armored guards scurried away roaches carrying spears and swords.  “He cannot have gone far.  He hasn’t eaten for days.”   
The giant wrung his hands together; small shards of ice twinkled and dissipated as they fell from his huge spiked gauntlets.  He turned and began walking down the hallway nearly dragging his massive hands upon the ground. & The Search Continues

Meanwhile, in another part...Dim torchlight trickled in as the heavy wooden door groaned on its hinges as it swung open. The gaunt man shackled to the wall strained his eyes to focus on the doorway. His eyes gazed upon a hulk of a man filling the entryway. The torchlight seemed to be repelled by his frame as he stood there. The massive man had arms the size of tree trunks perfect for crushing all but the strongest of men. His legs were smaller than the arms but nonetheless as powerful. This giant smirked as he entered the room. As the small prisoners eyes adjusted to the torchlight filling the room he was able to get a slightly better view of the beastly man before him.
